Southend Advocacy Support Consultation 2016

What do we want to know?:

Southend Borough Council wishes to consult with the public, and in particular those who have used or might wish to use an advocacy service. Some of the service specification is already decided, as there are compulsory services which the Authority must deliver under the Care Act 2014. However, we wish to better understand the aspirations of those who may use the services, as this can feed into the tender process at various stages.

Southend Borough Council is reviewing 4 contracts which offer advocacy services in the borough. The review is necessary because the contracts are due to be retendered, and we are asking providers to deliver their services in a different more streamlined way under one contract. We wish to consult with the public, in particular those who have used or might wish to use an advocacy service, to inform the final service specification and the evaluation of bids we receive.

Description:

Responses received before 23/5/16 can be considered as part of the service specification we advertise. All responses received before the 18/7/16 can be considered as part of the evaluation process of the tenders we receive. Finally, all responses can be considered to inform the final service specification issued when the contract is let. After that date, a summary of the information received will be available on this website.
